04 September 2023:  A340 retired

Dear pilots and visitors,

As of today, the 5th of September, Atlas retires the Airbus A340. The aircraft is replaced with Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

22 May 2023:  DHC6 retired

Dear Pilots and visitors,

As of today, the 22nd of May, Atlas Virtual airlines retires it's DeHavilland DHC6 aircraft. We operated only 3 of these: one as a charter and the other two on scheduled flights in Angola.

The DHC6 has been replaced by the Beechcraft B190d, which is faster, has an autopilot, but can still land on small airports.

01 January 2021:  Happy new year, happy new dest

Dear pilots, dear visitors,

Atlas Virtual Airlines wishes everyone a happy new year - hopefully it will be better than 2020.

To celebrate a new beginning, we added two new destinations: Zanzibar, an exotic island which is part of Tanzania, and the Syrian capital Damascus.

Several scheduled flights have been added to these new destinations, and in a few days there should also be charters available. If you are the first to fly to one of these airports you can earn an award, too.

I'm looking forward to seeing you in the skies!

12 August 2020:  New airports

Dear pilots and visitors,

Atlas is proud to announce the addition of two new airports: Lahore in Pakistan and Port Blair on the Andaman islands.

They are serviced by more than 20 new scheduled flights. For example, you can fly Lahore-Karachi or the much longer Frankfurt-Port Blair. For more information check out the schedules.

On another note: there are plans to replace the Airbus A330 with the Boeing 787 dreamlines. Watch this space!

24 May 2020:  NOTAM for ACARS users

Dear Pilots,

if you use kACARS (or other acars clients) you may have noticed service interruptions recently due to a server misconfiguration, caused by the ISP.

Please download the latest version of kACARS from the download section in your profile, and use that if you can. The full address should be https://www.atlasvirtualairlines.com

31 March 2020:  New airports and routes

Dear pilots and visitors.

Atlas is proud to announce the addition of two new destinations to our network: Washington Dulles (KIAD) and Eindhoven (NL).

Furthermore, we have added 78 new routes to our network, serving not only these two new destinations but also existing airports. There's some interesting long-haul flights like Frankfurt-Honolulu, Dubai-Melbourne, Dubai-Sydney and Dubai-Auckland. But there are also short-haul flights to previously underserved airports like Dusseldorf and Wilmington.

Remember that if you fly a route for the first time, you get extra points, and if you are the first to fly to a new destination you get an award.

We hope you enjoy these additions and come fly with us.

best regards,

Atlas Virtual Airlines

But we are sure you'll just take a peek and then go back to the new layout with this link
